Horn Rapids MHOA Pool Rules and Regulation

The pool is for Horn Rapids MHOA members, their guests, and registered renters. No HOA staff or lifeguard is on duty. Each owner must follow the rules to keep everyone safe and ensure enjoyment. Residents of all ages use the pool at the same time. The pool is small, so follow the rules to maintain a positive experience for everyone. Review the Rules and Regulations below.

Pool Access: All homeowners must register online for pool access. New keycards or fobs cost $17 each; wristbands are $2. Checks and cash only.

Keycard or KEYFOB Entry:  Horn Rapids HOA Residents must use their own keycard/keyfob to enter the fenced pool area. Do not let anyone in who is not part of your registered family or your guests; everyone must use their own keycard. New signs have been posted at the pool entry gate. Failure to follow these rules, including allowing unauthorized access, may result in suspension or revocation of pool privileges.

Wristbands: Registered residents under 16 may ONLY enter the fenced pool area if accompanied by a parent/adult (18 years or older) with a current pool registration.

Guests: The Horn Rapids Pool is for use by Horn Rapids residents and their accompanied guests. Each Horn Rapids resident is allowed a maximum of two guests at any time. If you are hosting a party at the Horn Rapids Pool, there must be one resident for every two guests.  Residents must accompany their guests at the Horn Rapids Pool at all times. Guests do not wear wristbands.

Buddy System: For ages of 16 and 17 entering the fenced pool area must follow these rules: You may not be in the fenced pool area alone. You must be accompanied by either a buddy (who is also a registered user aged 16 or 17) or an adult (who is a registered user aged 18 or older) at all times! ONLY TWO REGISTERED individuals in a buddy system party!! Each person must be a registered user and have their own keycard/keyfob, unless they are from the same family. Everyone must wear their blue Horn Rapids wristbands. All individuals must conduct themselves in an adult manner and be respectful of others in the fenced pool area.

Children: Registered residents under the age of 18 may ONLY enter the fenced pool area is accompanied by a parent/adult (18 years or older) that has a current pool registration or using the "Buddy System." (See detailed information above)

Renters: Pool access will only be available to Renters once Homeowners/Leasing company provide the renter information to our bookkeeper at bookkeeper@hornrapidshoa.com. As a result, both owners and renters will receive emails that update them on pertinent pool and other HOA information. Renter information must include names (of all residents residing in the home currently), address, phone or cell, and email to our bookkeeper.

Rules: All residents and guests must follow posted Pool Rules and Regulations. Any resident, or his/her guest, in violation of any of the Horn Rapids Pool Rules and Regulations may result in a verbal or written warning, financial assessment, or loss of pool use, and your keycards deactivated.

Surveillance: Security cameras are in use at the Horn Rapids Pool and Picnic Shelter. In addition, keycard/keyfob access provides another data point for staff when reviewing complaints or potential violations.

Reporting Incidences: For non-emergency issues, email the pool staff at pool@hornrapidshoa.com and include the date and time of the issue (for purposes of reviewing video and keycard/keyfob access).  Any complaints or concerns should be brought to the attention of HOA staff within 48 hours of occurrence to allow for review of video and keycard/keyfob access.

Emergencies: For emergencies, always call 911. You may use your cell phone, or the emergency phone enclosed in the red box on the wall adjacent to the pool.


   

Pool Rules
     

Wristbands Required for every registered residents 13 years  and older and MUST be worn all times while in the pool area!

Guests
are no longer registered online. Registered residents are allowed 2 guests each while in the pool area. Guests must be accompanied at all times by an adult registered HOA resident. Guests DO NOT wear a wristband.

Buddy System Can only be a PARTY OF TWO registered individuals and is for 16-to 17-year-old children ONLY!  Must use your keycard/keyfob, wear wristbands, be respectful of others, and enter and leave together. (See detailed information above)

Cleansing Shower  All swimmers must have a cleansing shower before entering the pool water.

Bathing Suits Required  Please wear appropriate swimwear for a family-friendly facility. No thong-style swimwear allowed. No street clothes allowed in the pool water.

Pool Gate  must remain locked at all times. DO NOT open the gate for anyone at any time unless they are part of your family or your guests!!!  They must use their own keycard/keyfob!

Wading Pool  Use is limited to kids 6 years old and under or to people with disabilities. Each child must be accompanied by and under the supervision of an adult. Safety of the child is paramount. Chairs are NOT to be put in the wading pool.  They are to be kept on the deck at all times. ONLY use swim diapers and cloth diapers with rubber pants.

Flotation Devices  such as noodles, water wings, and life vests are allowed and may be used for safety. Infants or children the age of 3 or younger may use a baby swim seat if needed.

Blow Up Devices Prohibited  NO inner tubes, rafts, float lounges, beach balls, or other blow-up devices. These can be a trapping hazard, especially with so many people in the pool.

Water Guns  and any type of squirt guns are PROHIBITED in the pool.

NO food, (this includes popsicles, ice cream bars and the like etc.)

NO beverages or alcohol are allowed inside the fenced Pool area. Use The Picnic Shelter!

NO glass containers!  Please have water in plastic or reusable containers.

NO spitting, spouting water, nose blowing, or discharge of bodily waste.

NO animals are allowed inside the pool fenced area or immediately outside.

NO diving, flips, tossing/throwing people, cannon balls, chicken or on anothers shoulders, running, rough play, disorderly conduct, or obscene language. (Standing at the edge of the pool and jumping feet-first is acceptable, though when the pool is very busy, please limit this activity and be sure the area is clear before jumping in.)

NO athletic equipment, such as footballs, basketballs, baseballs, volleyballs, tennis balls, or blow-up balls.

NO smoking, e-cigarettes, or chewing tobacco, or any tobacco products. NO bicycles, skateboards, scooters, or skates allowed in the pool or picnic shelter areas.

NO BBQ grills or similar type implements are allowed in the fenced pool area.

NO person with open wounds or a contagious disease is permitted in the pool area or water.

NO person under the influence of alcohol or drugs is permitted in the fenced pool area.


I agree to abide by the pool hours, which are 6 am to 8 pm.

I agree to inform all residents in my home of the Pool Rules and Regulations before they enter the fenced pool area.

I agree to inform all of my guests of the Pool Rules and Regulations before they enter the fenced pool area with me.

I have read and agree to abide by all provisions of the Horn Rapids MHOA Rules and Regulations, and that a violation of any of these Pool Rules and
Regulations may result in a verbal or written warning, a financial assessment, or loss of pool use, with keycards and keyfobs deactivated.


Horn Rapids MHOA Staff, employees, or volunteers will not be held accountable for damage or loss to any items in the fenced pool area, the picnic shelter, or anywhere on the Horn Rapids MHOA grounds. Horn Rapids MHOA staff, employees, or volunteers will not be held liable for any cause.

NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY! SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK!  It is the responsibility of the homeowner/renter agreeing to these terms to inform all residents residing in the home and their guests of these rules and regulations.


Pickleball, Tennis and Basketball Court Rules
Court usage is ONLY for Horn Rapids MHOA residents and their guests.
Use of any of the courts is on a first-come, first-served basis.

We encourage open play with rotation into play for those waiting to play.

Pickleball courts may be reserved for limited times for OOPL League play.

Keep the courts and surrounding areas clean.

No chairs are permitted inside the fenced areas.

Beverages (except water), glass containers, food, gum, or other products that may damage the court surfaces are PROHIBITED!

Common courtesy and respect for your fellow players are expected.  Unsportsmanlike conduct will NOT be tolerated.

Do not sit, swing, or stand on the net cable or fencing.

NO Pets are allowed inside the fenced areas of the courts. NO Bikes, Scooters, Roller blades/skates, strollers, or any other non-court activities are allowed.

Gates will be closed and locked at all times. You’ll need your keycard/keyfob for entry.

All residents must wear wristbands provided by the MHOA to identify themselves. Guests are limited to two guests per Horn Rapids MHOA homeowner.


Pickleball courts are for pickleball play only. Other activities are strictly prohibited. The tennis court is for tennis only. Other activities except basketball are strictly prohibited. Tennis players have priority over basketball as basketball courts are available at other playgrounds in the community. We encourage open play with rotation into play for those waiting to play. One-hour play rotation if others are waiting. Waiting players for Pickleball must place their paddles in holders to indicate their turn. Proper attire and footwear are required at all times. This includes wearing a shirt and non-marking sports shoes.

OOPL League players have priority between the hours of 4:30pm – 6:30pm daily. However, if courts are not being used during these times, the court is open for play. Let the USA Pickleball rules and regulations be your guide.
